• Anode-free designs, 3D current collectors, mechanical integrity, porosity control.

Theme 3 — Advanced Characterization & Mechanism Discovery
• Electron microscopy, X-ray, neutron, NMR, probe-based tools.
• Multiscale modeling, digital twins, AI/ML for materials and processes.

Theme 4 — Manufacturing, Scale-Up & Sustainability
• Scalable manufacturing, dry coating, calendaring, formation, QC.
• Advanced recycling and closed-loop materials recovery.
